His Warmth

The early morning fog shrouds the town in mystery,
Street lights casting an eerie glow down the road.
Not a sound can be heard all around.
The light from the sun is no where to be seen.
She sat there all alone,
The cold having already wrapped itself around her.
It felt like no one was there to help her.
But then through the fog
A sliver of light slips through.
It lands on her face and neck
Giving her the warmth that she so needed.
More and more the clouds slowly break away,
Covering her with the light.
All she had to do was sit and pray
And trust that God would provide.
For through the darkness and the hurt
His love will always come through.
